Transdev Wellington

Transdev Wellington Ltd and its maintenance partner Hyundai Rotem have been selected by the Greater Wellington Regional Council to operate and maintain the Greater Wellington Region’s rail service from July 2016.

From commencement of the new contract, we will be running approximately 2,189 services each week and employing over 430 staff.

Our aim is to provide Wellington with a friendly, reliable world-class rail service that meets the needs and expectations of Wellington current rail users, attracting new users at the same time.

In the past 12 years, we have almost tripled our employee levels and quadrupled patronage. We now deliver approximately 3,150 services each week and in 2015, patronage reached a record 15 million passenger journeys.
